Gear Enigmas — Epic Games Store Privacy Policy

Windows and macOS editions
Last updated: October 10, 2026

1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

Chengdu Hundong Tianxia Network Technology Co., Ltd. (成都魂动天下网络科技有限公司, “we,” “us,” or “our”) is responsible for the personal information we process in connection with Gear Enigmas as described in this Policy.

This Policy applies specifically to the Windows and macOS editions of Gear Enigmas distributed through the Epic Games Store (the “Game”), including the Game's Epic account integration and our support for that edition. It explains what information is processed, why it is used, who receives it, how it is retained, and how you can exercise your privacy rights.

For this edition of the Game, this Policy takes precedence over inconsistent descriptions in our general company or mobile-game privacy policies. Mobile-only SDK lists, advertising features, permissions, and account systems described in those other policies do not automatically apply to this edition. This Policy does not cover our other games, our websites' separate browsing activities, or third-party services operated independently of us.

Privacy and support contact: lqwl22@126.com. Please use the subject “Gear Enigmas Privacy Request” for privacy matters.

2. Information Processed by the Game

A. Epic Sign-In and Account Information

When you launch the Game through the Epic Games Launcher and authorize sign-in, the Game processes your Epic account identifier and a launcher-issued authentication code to sign you in through Epic Online Services. The integration also uses a game-services user identifier to associate achievement requests with the correct user.

The Game requests only Epic's Basic Profile permission. That permission covers information such as your Epic account ID, display name, language, and the display names of linked accounts. The current Game integration primarily uses account identifiers and authentication credentials; the scope of a permission does not mean that every field within it is copied into a separate database operated by us.

The Game does not request Epic permissions for your friends list, online presence, or country information. You do not need to provide your Epic account password to us or to our support team. Authentication codes and tokens are distinct from your password and must also be kept private.

B. Game Progress, Preferences, and Achievements

The Game stores information on your device to make gameplay work, including progress, puzzle and checkpoint states, inventory and collectible records, achievement flags, and preferences such as language and audio settings. Device language is used to select an initial supported language; your subsequent manual selection is retained.

Local saves are separated by Epic account identifier. A direct launch without a valid launcher account identifier uses a separate offline profile. A failed online sign-in does not, by itself, require an existing account-specific save to be deleted or moved to the offline profile.

For online achievements, the Game sends achievement identifiers and unlock requests associated with your game-services user identifier to Epic Online Services. Locally earned achievement records can be used to retry synchronization after a successful connection. The current edition does not provide cloud saving of your gameplay progress.

C. Technical Information and Diagnostics

The Game and its runtime can generate local diagnostic information, such as application version, operating system and hardware information, timestamps, connection results, errors, and crash details. Diagnostic files may contain local file paths, device user names, or account identifiers appearing in runtime output. This information helps investigate compatibility, reliability, and support problems.

The Game is built with Unity. Its enabled engine analytics and crash-diagnostic services may also process technical device, application, session, usage, and error information. Online connections involve network information, such as IP addresses. These services are distinct from advertising SDKs used in some mobile games. See Section 5 for the relevant provider privacy notices and privacy choices.

If you voluntarily send diagnostic files, screenshots, or save files to our support team, we receive the information contained in those files. Please review attachments and remove unrelated personal information before sending them.

D. Information You Send to Support

If you contact us, we process your email address, the name or account identifier you provide, your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We may ask for limited additional information to identify the relevant Game profile, investigate an issue, or verify a privacy request. Please do not send passwords, authentication codes, payment card details, or identity documents unless a specific lawful verification need has been explained to you.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

We do not use Epic account data to build advertising profiles, sell it, or rent it to others. The current Game does not ask you to supply phone contacts, text messages, precise GPS location, or government-issued identity information as a condition of ordinary gameplay. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you solely through automated processing of Game data.

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on the basis appropriate to the particular processing: performance of our agreement with you for necessary Game features; our legitimate interests in maintaining security, resolving faults, and providing support, subject to your rights; compliance with legal obligations; or your consent where it is required.

Providing this Policy is not a substitute for obtaining consent where consent is legally required. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it through the relevant service's available controls or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it was withdrawn.

5. Service Providers, Sharing, and External Services

Epic Games and Epic Online Services. The Game integrates Epic services for sign-in, account association, and achievements and exchanges the relevant information described in Section 2 with those services. We do not control all information held in your Epic account. For Epic's own processing practices, retention rules, and privacy-request channels, read the Epic Games Privacy Policy. This Policy does not make promises on Epic's behalf about how Epic will handle or delete information.

Unity. The Game uses the Unity engine and enabled technical analytics and diagnostic services. For information about Unity's processing and available privacy controls, read the Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy. We do not describe Unity's independent processing as if it were governed solely by our own retention or deletion decisions.

Support communications. When you email us, the email service used to receive and maintain that correspondence processes the message and attachments. We limit access within our organization to people who need the information to provide support, handle privacy requests, or meet legal and security responsibilities.

We may disclose relevant information where lawfully required, to respond to valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to investigate security incidents or protect legal rights. Any such disclosure is limited to what is appropriate for that purpose. If a business transfer affects personal information for which we are responsible, we will provide any notice and safeguards required by applicable law.

Purchases made through the Epic Games Store and your use of the Launcher or other external websites are also subject to the relevant providers' terms and privacy notices. We do not ask you to enter payment card details into this Game.

6. Storage and Retention

We apply different retention rules to different kinds of information rather than treating all Game data as one permanent account record.

InformationWhere and how long it is retained
Local progress, preferences, account-specific save folders, and achievement flagsStored on your device to preserve your Game state. They remain until you delete or replace the relevant local data. They do not automatically expire after a fixed number of days, and uninstalling the Game may leave save data or settings behind. Locally earned achievement flags may remain after successful synchronization.
Authentication codes and session information handled by the Game's own integrationHandled in memory during the running Game session for sign-in and service access; that memory is released when the process exits. Your account identifier is also used in the local save-folder structure. This description does not set the lifetime of any authentication state maintained independently by a platform or SDK.
Local diagnostic filesRetained on your device until overwritten, rotated, or deleted through the runtime, operating system, or your own actions. There is no single fixed retention period for all local diagnostic files.
Support messages and attachments received by usRetained while needed to investigate and resolve your request and any directly related follow-up, dispute, security issue, or legal obligation. We assess continuing need and delete or anonymize information when those purposes no longer require it. You may request earlier deletion, subject to applicable exceptions.
Information processed by Epic or Unity through their own servicesRefer to the respective provider's privacy notice for its retention and deletion rules. Deleting a local Game file does not itself send a deletion request to those providers.

For information under our control, retention decisions take account of the purpose of collection, whether a request or dispute remains open, the sensitivity of the information, and applicable legal requirements. We do not retain information merely because it may be useful indefinitely. If retention is required for a legal obligation or an active dispute, we limit further use to the relevant purpose.

7. Access, Deletion, and Your Choices

Your local Game data. You can remove local saves, preferences, and diagnostic files from your device. Close the Game before removing files. Removing saves can permanently remove progress, and removing preferences can reset settings. Uninstalling alone may not remove every file. If you need help finding the correct folders for your operating system and Game profile, contact us using the email in Section 1. We cannot remotely erase files that exist only on your device or copies you have backed up elsewhere.

Our support and privacy records. To request access, a copy, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold, email lqwl22@126.com with the subject “Gear Enigmas Privacy Request.” Explain the request and, where relevant, the account or support conversation it concerns. We may request proportionate information to verify that the request is yours. We will not ask for your Epic password or login verification code.

Epic authorization and platform data. Use the privacy and account controls made available by Epic, or contact Epic through the channels described in its privacy notice, for requests concerning information it controls. Removing local progress does not remove an online achievement record, revoke an application authorization, or delete an Epic account. Revoking authorization may prevent online sign-in and achievement synchronization; it does not itself erase local saves.

Other rights. Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive portable information, withdraw consent, or complain to your data protection authority. We will explain any applicable limits if we cannot fulfill a request in full. We respond within the period required by applicable law and aim to respond within fifteen working days after receiving enough information to handle your request.

8. International Processing

Our company is based in China. Information you send directly to our support team may be accessed and handled there. Local save data is stored on the device on which you play. Using online services can involve processing in other countries, whose data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

For international transfers for which we are responsible, we apply the safeguards required by applicable law. You may contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your request. For transfers performed independently by Epic or Unity, refer to their respective privacy notices.

9. Children and Young Players

A Game content rating and the age at which a person can consent to personal-information processing are different matters. Where parental or guardian consent is required by applicable law, that consent must be obtained before the relevant processing. Young players should ask a parent or guardian to help them understand this Policy and their platform account settings.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have received personal information from your child without legally required authorization, contact us. We will review the information under our control and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required. Requests about a child's Epic account should also be directed to Epic through its own privacy channels.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, including limiting access to support information and avoiding deliberate disclosure of authentication credentials. No system provides an absolute guarantee of security. Please protect your device and platform account, and do not publish Game logs or screenshots containing private identifiers or authentication information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy when the Game's features, data practices, or applicable requirements change. We will publish the updated version and revise the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice and obtain consent where required. A future feature, such as cloud saving or an additional online service, will not be treated as covered by a vague reference to unrelated mobile-game SDKs.
